What You Will Do

As our company scales, we're in search of a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our expanding team. This full-time role is perfect for someone with over 5 years of experience who thrives in a dynamic environment and shares our passion for sustainability. Reporting to the Software Manager and Chief Technology Officer, you'll be instrumental in providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, including sales presentations, product demonstrations, and supporting technical evaluations such as Proof of Concepts. You'll help qualify and close opportunities with customers, support existing customers, and collaborate with the product team to prioritize features based on field insights. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with leaders in Sales, Customer Experience, Hardware and Software Engineering, and Partnerships, and includes the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct product demonstrations, address inquiries, and handle objections during initial sales calls
  • Learn and understand customer's key technical challenges as well as design and share solutions to these problems using our technology.
  • Lead the scoping and management of proof of concepts, cultivating technical champions
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to demonstrate the value of our platform to customers
  • Provide crucial feedback on product development
  • Walk and understand customer facilities, sites, and production lines. Scope solution design and implementation to allow for success with customer.
  • Collaborate with our Applications Engineers and CTO to devise integration strategies with customer plant control systems
  • Lead customer deployments, in-person or remote
  • Support customer troubleshooting, questions, and debugging
  • Develop deep expertise in our domain and end-user functionality

About You

  • Minimum 5 years in Sales Engineering or Solutions Engineering
  • Understanding of factory Automation, networks, and control systems
  • Curiosity, charisma, and a love for learning and sharing technical knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage and energize audiences
  • Confidence to challenge the sales team and customers when necessary
  • The ability to ask targeted questions that at reveal current operational processes dive at the heart of customer problems and
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Willingness to travel within the U.S. and globally up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to adapt quickly and demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and outside the box thinking, especially when on your feet
  • Proficiency in coding languages like C or similar
  • Experience in developer tools or cloud observability
  • Hands-on experience with hardware and technical projects
  • Prior experience in scaling IoT products to market
  • Strong understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IoT, and cloud solutions trends
